Space Control adds watchdog to NX.gen capabilities.
With another industry first, Space Control’s NX.gen management software has taken another step in watching out for a business owner’s best interests with a unique new feature. Aptly named Sherlock, and graphically represented by a hunting dog, the monitoring feature constantly watches all transactions and looks for potential problems. If something questionable is found, Sherlock brings it to management’s attention so corrective steps can be taken before the situation gets out of hand.
Sherlock tells exactly how much rent should have been collected each month. If that amount wasn’t collected, he’ll tell you why it wasn’t collected. Sherlock watches for suspicious activity, like allowances, reversed cash payments, missing petty cash or lost merchandise. If something isn’t right, he can give owners, regional managers or accountants — anyone who’s authorized — a quick heads up.
With much employee turnover in the industry, the need for an advanced level of security from management software is growing. Sometimes what Sherlock discovers can be corrected by training. At other times, it’s more serious. Either way, Sherlock gives you an early warning.
Sherlock is always on duty, even when managers are away. He watches all activities, but only points out what needs a closer look.
NX.gen still does everything else it’s known for. Its single-screen operation gets good reviews. Everything you need to know about a customer’s account is available without jumping from screen to screen. NX.gen also helps raise or lower move-in rates based on supply and demand and automatically handles rent raises to let you operate at peak profitability.
